AMATEURS in CALIFORNIA:

In California, If you have less than three bouts, you must purchase and use ISKA-approved shin guards and headgear from Action Pro (shin guards are cloth, with no buckles or straps, and are slip on only, headgear must be open face). ISKA representatives will have gear for sale in case you do not have it. We provide gloves, but you must bring a mouth guard, cup, proper shorts, etc… You will also need to get a physical done in accordance with ISKA Physical Requirements and you must sign the ISKA Fighter Release in order to be able to compete. Attached below is the ISKA Physical Form and the ISKA Fighter Release, but refer to the ISKA website if you have any more questions.

You and your cornermen will also need to register with the ISKA. Attached below is the ISKA Fighter Membership Application form as well as the ISKA Corner Application, but refer to the ISKA website if you have any more questions.

Fighters over 40 years of age will need additional requirements. Please consult with the ISKA.

AMATEURS in FLORIDA:

In Florida, shinguards are required for all amateurs but headgear is not necessary. Fighters will be required to have an eye exam. Here is the eye exam form that needs to be completed: http://www.realcagefighting.com/img/eyeform.pdf

Fighters over 40 years of age will need additional requirements. Please consult with the athletic commission for all details regarding bloodwork and eye exams.

WEIGHT CUTTING:

WEIGHT CUT LIMIT (15%) in California! According to CSAC, there may be a 15% cap on the weight you are allowed to gain between weigh-in and the day of the event (the following day). You could be suspended or have your fight cancelled if you come in over that 15% cap. Please consider this if you cut a lot of weight.

REGISTRATION WITH ATHELTIC COMMISSION:

Fighters and cornermen MUST register by weigh-in and pick up their wrist bands at weigh in or they will not be allowed to enter the fight venue. Weigh-ins are usually conducted the day before. Limit your cornermen to 2. Do not show up earlier than the commission indicates on the day of the fight as you will not be allowed into the venue. When you do show up the day of the event, only you and your cornermen can enter. Family and friends will not be allowed to enter until the event begins. LIVESTREAM is available on YouTube with a membership which costs $9.99 a month. It is a recurring payment and can be canceled anytime after initial payment. To access the livestream, click the join button on the YouTube channel. The option to join the channel can also be accessed on the main page of this website.

TICKETS: Fighters can request physical tickets to sell and/or sell online. Do not mix your tickets with your teammates or they will be voided. Ticket money and unsold tickets must be returned at day of weigh-ins, no exceptions. Fighter’s gym receives credit for tickets sold up until day before weigh-in. To receive credit for online tickets, purchaser must type fighter’s name at check-out where it asks “who did you come to see?” Physical tickets are a fighter’s responsibility once sent out, any lost tickets must be paid for by fighter. Accordingly, when requesting physical tickets we must have your exact address including unit or apartment number.

PLEASE SELL TICKETS AND MARKET YOURSELF. Sales is an important consideration for us and will be critical in your career! Everyone must contribute for the sport to grow.

OUT OF TOWN FIGHTERS: If we agree to reimburse you, you MUST book a room through our approved hotel partner, typically at the venue where the event is taking place. Contact us if you have questions. If we agree to pay for travel the amount must be approved beforehand. If approved, you will be reimbursed for travel and lodge AFTER the event.

PROS:

Please have your medicals done as soon as possible. We will send you the checklist for what needs to be done. You will also receive a bout agreement and release once we find you a fight.
